The Honington War Games Group was formed in April 2001.Wargames "Group" is a bit misleading as there are only three members. My Uncle and myself have been making models and playing wargames for ages. He started seriously modelling from the 40th Anniversary of D-Day, but it started well before that. I have always been interested and over the last few years I have made a nice collection of models. My minuscule collection is nothing to compare with my Uncles, M Smith, whose huge collection is worth well over £5,000 and comprising of literally thousands of Tanks, Men, Buildings and Guns. The third member my Aunt, Margaret Smith not really a model enthusiast but has put up with us two for years. She's always ready with a bag of sarnies and a packet of crisps and keeping everything running smoothly.

The layout is now so large it takes up the whole of the back garden and takes over two and a half hours to set up.
